7 Artificial Discs Do Lunch

On Monday I had the pleasure of going to lunch with Dale and her husband, Dan, his mother and sister and my patient advocate and good friend Mark Mintzer from Global Patient Network. This was my first time getting to meet Dale. She is around 7 weeks behind me post-op and went to Germany and had a 3-level ProDisc from Dr Bertagnoli. She shared with me that I was one of the people that helped her to come to the decision to go with multi level ProDisc something you can only get in Germany these days. She is doing so much better then she was before surgery. She was what is called a “shut in” someone that can’t leave there house. She is now able to walk around independently and is going to PT and seeing more improvements all the time. It is for these reasons that I continue to be willing to help anyone that is suffering with back pain to find a way to get back to life. I hope Dan’s mother can find a solution to her back and neck problems. Dan's situation shows how back problems can be genetic. Dan is better but not great at one-year post-op still taking pain meds and beginning to exercise again.
Mark, a 2-level Charite, is saving more life’s then ever before with many new and difficult clients. He is going to be starting his own forum any day now and I can’t wait to continue to learn from him. Mark supported me as a friend first and I am so glad he was there to watch my surgery how lucky is that.
