The Face

I skied the East Face of Gunbarrel on Sunday for the first time this year and was my ProDisc first trip down the Face. Conditions were marginal and we only did one run but skied for 4.5 hours. My legs were toast by the end of the day. I wanted to see how I faired before I posted. The day after I felt great just a little sore in my calves but that always happen the first day or 2 on the hill. The ski conditioning classes really helped even though they caused a bit of a set back. I road the chair lift with my old ski school director and I shared with him that my body feels great my head is just not there yet. He said that the brain is the hardest muscle to come back after a big accident and to take all the time I need. He made me feel like a member of the team again.
