Scotts Lake to Big Meadows

Today is my 13-month anniversary of my ProDisc surgery and I had the honor to ride with my Physical Therapist Mike and my faithful riding partner Joe. Mike stands at 6'3" and can spin his peddles 2X faster then I could ever dream of. He was so nice a patent to reel me in and wait many times. The only thing is by the time I get to them they are ready to go and so I never get to rest that this the life of a trail snail.

This ride was 10 miles 1,350 vertical and 1,350 descending. It took almost 3 hours. We started at the Big Meadows trailhead road straight up for 2 miles, popped out onto HWY 89 and took the old HWY to a new trail I have never been on.

It was a hike and bike for me but the end of the trial I really enjoyed it can you tell.

We made it to Scott’s Lake and then the best part of the ride was ahead down into Big Meadows. I have alway been stronger going downhill.

After taking a look at this rock I decided to give it a try and then do it a gain for the camera so all of you to see.

As for Mike he is an animal and was so sweet to ride with me. Maybe in my next life I will be a trials rider too.

Thanks Mike for putting me back together and not braking me apart.
